Hi and welcome to Tarot Book Reviews.
If you love books and if you are interested in tarot, then this is the site for you!
Some people believe that learning tarot needs no extra help, that it is quite easy to learn to read tarot cards simply by looking at them and getting inspired to read intuitively.
I’ve found however that this leads only to frustration down the road.
Sure, tarot can be learned by ‘feel’, by finding your own meanings to the cards, however you do need the basics, the foundation upon which your mind can expand, learn and create new meaningful connections.
Imagine going to school one day and starting right out in the fifth class. You’ve never been to school before, and you don’t know what to expect….
…While everyone else is already learning to string concepts together, to expand their horizon with exciting new subjects, you are still trying to catch up to them: you’re only now learning the alphabet, deciphering the letters, syllables and words, and putting them together in sentences and phrases.
Scary thought isn’t it? This is exactly how it could feel to learn tarot with blinders on, without a few excellent tarot books to guide your way in the dark, mysterious and fascinating world of what we call tarot.
